YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

A clearer way to keep
a rent ledger.

A rent ledger records rent charges and payments over time. The running balance shows what is still due or held as a rent credit.

Can I record a partial rent payment?

Yes. Add each payment on the date it was received and assign its rent period. Two payments can settle one monthly charge without charging rent twice.

Does the security deposit reduce rent due?

No. Deposits received and returned have their own balance. They do not automatically settle rent.

Can I use my existing spreadsheet?

Import one CSV or XLSX sheet with a date, transaction type and amount, or separate charge/payment columns. Review the mapping, duplicates and any reported balance differences first.
